Cleanfield Energy will help Texas provide clean energy.

Cleanfield Energy®, a developer of renewable energy technologies primarily for urban applications, recently announced its plans to install ten Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT) in Houston, Texas by 2010.

Signing an agreement for a new office building that is expected to be one of the most recognized buildings in Houston, CEO of Cleanfield Energy Tony Verrelli said that the agreement reaffirms Cleanfield’s leadership in the small wind industry. He added that the installation also puts emphasis on Cleanfield’s ability to integrate buildings that seek Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) certification.

The ten 3.5-kW wind turbines will be eligible for a 30% uncapped investment tax credit (ITC) on the total installed cost of wind turbine systems as part of renewable energy initiatives in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Mr. Verrelli said that the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certification for both the company’s proprietary inverter technology and custom permanent magnet generator as well as US Federal government incentives are reasons why Cleanfield Energy’s V3.5 VAWT system is positioned to be the leading choice for small wind technology in the United States.

Cleanfield Energy Corp. is a subsidiary of Cleanfield Alternative Energy Inc. Cleanfield’s industry leading VAWT, which can be mounted on a tower, on building rooftops, or integrated into building designs, offers quiet point of use to the renewable energy generation.
